Kinder’s SM3 StartleMonitor System raises the bar on its already industry-leading Startle System!

New Features:

• Up to 20 seconds record window (up from 0.5 seconds). Now can facilitate pre-pulse facilitation in addition to pre-pulse inhibition and habituation!
• You have the option of selecting white noise, a pure tone or your own .wav file as the sound stimulus or any combination of these for two startle or pre-pulse sounds from 35 – 120 dB!
• The Load Cell is self-calibrating! No more putting weights on the Load Cell platform and then turning dials to calibrate.
• Each Startle Station is 20 pounds (~9 kg) lighter while still retaining our industry-leading 35 dB sound attenuation! We are 10 dB more quite than others!
• You have the option of using a zero-light camera in addition to the Load Cell’s to record the animal’s response.
• The last 24 hour’s data is stored on each Station to protect your data in case of a PC malfunction.
• 7″ Touchscreen replaces switches and knobs.

No more Behavior System Core or bulky DB25 and DB9 cables! Each SM3 station is connected to a single System-running PC through ethernet cables.
